Basically I was at my house in a kinda of attic room. There were some friends of mine and we were about to play DnD. Then some friends of mine who were mostly friends of another friend present join us for DnD and I start narrating, by telling them what they did the last session as the DM. So as soon as I start doing the Dungeon Master, two policeman, one of whom was Kermit the Frog, came and started looking around the room for something checking every nook and cranny. So I go and look for ¨something I long have long hidden away" and I find a small wooden box with inside some tobacco and well hidden hashish. The policeman salutes me from the door as he is going away as soon as I open the box, but he doesn't notice my hashish. Then all my friend cheer as I found the hashish and a girl with heavily deformed eyes appears behind me, with all my friends telling me that the police inspection went this good thanks to her. So I give my friends some of the hashish and stow away the rest, while they speak on how smart should people be in order to be a policeman and the dream ends.
Dreams often serve as a mirror reflecting our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Let's dive into the vivid imagery and themes present in your dream.
The attic symbolizes a hidden part of your psyche, indicating that you are exploring thoughts, memories, or aspects of yourself that you may not usually access. Attics often represent a space for storage of old ideas, emotions, or unresolved matters. Your friends’ presence suggests camaraderie and perhaps a desire to connect or engage in collective experiences, especially through a medium that involves creativity and imagination like Dungeons & Dragons (DnD).
As the Dungeon Master, you are in a position of authority, guiding your friends' experiences within the game. This could signify your confidence in leadership roles or your desire to take control of your narrative in real life. It might also reflect your creative desires and the need for expression through storytelling.
The sudden appearance of the policemen—especially Kermit the Frog, a character known for his innocence and humor—suggests a conflict between your desires for freedom (as indicated by the hidden substances) and the rules or societal norms that confine you. The police represent authority and the enforcement of societal norms, perhaps indicating a fear of judgment or the consequences of your choices.
When you find the box with tobacco and hashish, it symbolizes the uncovering of hidden desires or escapist tendencies. The act of 'hiding away' something implies you have parts of yourself or experiences you may feel are illicit or secretive, reflecting anxiety or guilt around these aspects in waking life. The exhilaration from your friends when you find the hashish points to a desire for acceptance and sharing hidden parts of yourself with those close to you.
The appearance of the girl with heavily deformed eyes can be interpreted in several ways. She might represent the darker aspects of your psyche or something that you've turned a blind eye to. Her deformity could symbolize a vulnerability or a perceived flaw, reflecting feelings of inadequacy or recognition of aspects of yourself that you might feel are 'damaged' but still play an essential role in your life. The idea that she helped during the inspection may suggest that your perceived flaws have a role in your life’s journey that ultimately leads to positive outcomes.
The conversation about intelligence regarding policemen reflects contemplation on authority and intelligence, possibly highlighting your thoughts on the nature of societal rules and who gets to define what is 'smart' or 'wise.' This leads to a deeper inquiry into your relationships with authority figures and your own intellectual or emotional capability.
This dream encourages reflection on how you balance your creative aspirations, relationships, hidden desires, and societal expectations. It seems to implant an underlying call for acceptance of all facets of yourself, both celebrated and hidden.
